Beef & Kidney Bean Burritos


1 pack Oddpods kidney beans

1 onion- thinly sliced

2 garlic cloves- peeled and grated/finely chopped

Ground cumin

1 tsp oregano

250g beef mince

Splash apple cider vinegar

4 soft shell tortilla

1 pack microwave rice


Optional toppings:


Tomatoes- chopped

Lettuce- sliced

Cheese- grated

Coriander bunch- roughly chopped



  • Heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan. Add the sliced onions and cook for 6-8 minutes or until softened. Add the garlic, cumin and oregano and cook for a further 1 minute
  • Add in the mince, stirring regularly to break it up. Cook until browned all over. Add a splash of apple cider vinegar and season to taste with salt and pepper
  • Tear open your pack of Oddpods, pour into the pan and cook for a further 4-5 minutes on a lower heat
  • Prepare your soft shell tortillas and microwaveable rice as per their respective cooking instructions
  • Lay out your tortilla and start with a dollop of rice in the middle
  • Spoon the cooked beef and bean mixture on top of the rice in the tortilla
  • Sprinkle over your favourite toppings- we recommend all of them for the best burrito! Then fold both ends over and roll up before enjoying!
